Health Minister Maxim Stepanov said he plans the second stage of quarantine mitigation in Ukraine, tentatively scheduled for May 22.
In a briefing on Thursday, May 14, the head of the Ministry of Health announced that he planned to allow:
- sports competitions without spectators,
- opening of hotels, except hostels, without the operation of restaurants and gyms,
- external independent test (UPE)
- public transport
- The work of preschool educational institutions – kindergartens.
Stepanov noted that the relevant government decree, which the Ministry of Health will propose to adopt, will stipulate that the work of all the above is possible only if anti-epidemic norms are observed:
- mask mode
- social distance
- disinfection with antiseptics.
“Below Clear criteria will be developed for each event: how you can use public transport or hold sporting events. We will demand compliance with these rules, as it is about the life and health of Ukrainians, ”said Stepanov.
As reported, the first phase of quarantine mitigation in Ukraine began on May 11. The next quarantine mitigation steps are scheduled for May 22, June 1 and June 11.
During the last day, coronavirus was found in Ukraine in 422 people, 17 fatal cases were registered, a record number of patients were recovered: 427. For the first time, the daily number of recovered patients exceeded the number of new infections. A total of 16874 people became ill during the pandemic, of which 4143 recovered, 456 deaths.
