Gas price rise, new mayors and the second round of local elections, frozen, fishing is prohibited. What else will change in the last month of fall.

Gas prices go up

Ukraine’s Naftogaz gas supply company has increased the cost of natural gas for the population by 34.7 percent since November 2020.

As of November 1, the price per cubic meter of gas at the monthly rate will be 6.33 hryvnia including VAT and excluding the cost of gas delivery. In October, the price per cubic meter was 4.7 hryvnia.

Starting in November, the price of gas will also increase at an annual rate. Gas at an annual rate will cost 6.45 hryvnia per cubic meter. The increase amounted to 23 percent: in the October tariff, the price was set at 5.24 hryvnia.

These prices apply only to those consumers who have a gas supply contract with Naftogaz. However, the state-owned company’s rates remain one of the lowest on the market.

Heating is also more expensive

Significantly more consumers are concerned about rising gas prices for heat producers still receiving regulated gas from Naftogaz.

In October, Naftogaz also raised prices for them, more than a thousand hryvnia per thousand cubic meters, or almost a quarter, which is explained by the increase in prices on world markets.

The cost of gas is one of the main components of the price of heat produced by teplokommunenergo companies (more than 80 percent). Therefore, an increase in heating prices can be expected. About this in detail in the material Gas increased by 35%. What bills to expect.

Quarantine zoning

Due to the increase in the incidence of COVID-19 coronavirus infection in the last two weeks, 112 administrative units from 20 regions of Ukraine have been assigned to the “red” zone.

Ternopil and Severodonetsk went from the “red” to the “orange” level of epidemiological danger, at the same time that the regional centers Zhytomyr and Uzhgorod joined the “red” zone.

Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Rivne, Khmelnitsky, Chernigov, Kharkov, Nikolaev, Poltava and Sumy remain in the “red” zone, that is, only 11 regional centers.

Online map of Ukraine’s quarantine zones:

The Ministry of Health has already reported that with 11-15 thousand cases of coronavirus per day, the country can tighten the quarantine and introduce a national blockade. Judging by the existing dynamics, Ukraine will reach this limit only in November.

Now the European countries, one after another, are returning to the blockade, although they did not plan it.

Receive an inheritance

For several years in a row, government agencies and experts have been forced to refute reports that as of November 1, Ukrainians will not be able to inherit or formalize a donation transaction.

Usually in such messages there is a reference to the government decree on the reform of the scope of the valuation, which was no longer valid in August 2014.
