The Office of the President of Ukraine is planning to hold a meeting with the mayors of Ukrainian cities due to the violation of the government’s decision on the weekend quarantine. This meeting can take place in the next few days.
A source from the OP told RBC-Ukraine about this.
First, they want to involve the mayors of cities where quarantine is not observed to participate in the meeting. According to the interlocutor, there is no exact date for the meeting yet, but it could be today or tomorrow.
Previously in the media there were reports that said conversation will take place in the format of a conference call at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 14. At the same time, RBC-Ukraine interlocutors among the mayors of the largest cities said that they had not yet received an invitation to speak with the president.
We will remember, today in Ukraine the quarantine of the day off began. Government restrictions will be in effect until 00:00 on Monday. In particular, the work of cinemas and cultural institutions will be prohibited.
As RBC-Ukraine wrote, the authorities of some Ukrainian cities refused to impose restrictions on the weekend.
In particular, in Lviv they decided to cancel the weekend, declaring Saturday and Sunday as workers. And in Dnipro, the mayor said that the TEB and the Emergency Situations Commission would not comply with the government’s decision, because their members were “sick.”
