Weekend quarantine: what will be prohibited on November 14 and 15

Starting at midnight on Saturday, November 14, the so-called weekend quarantine began operating in Ukraine, the decision on the introduction of which was made by the government this week. What will work and what will be closed during this period, on the RBC-Ukraine material.

The weekend quarantine was introduced for three weeks. It will work from 00:00 hours on Saturday to 00:00 hours on Monday. The rest of the days will apply the restrictions of the “orange zone” in the country.

That is prohibited on weekends

According to the government decision, until Monday on the territory of Ukraine will be prohibited:

• reception of visitors in catering establishments (restaurants, cafes, bars);
• the work of cultural institutions and the realization of massive cultural events;
• reception of visitors in the shopping center and other entertainment establishments;
• gym, fitness center and swimming pool work;
• reception of visitors by beauty salons, industrial product stores, etc.

That will work

During the weekend quarantine period, it is allowed to work:

• public transport;
• shops in which more than 60% of the area is dedicated to the sale of food, fuel, medicines, medical products, veterinary medicines or feed;
• catering establishments to take away or with selective delivery;
• banks and postal operators;
• Gas station and service station;
• medical practice institutions.

Limitations of the “orange zone”

In the period from Monday to Friday, the following restrictions will apply in Ukraine:

• the number of passengers in public transport does not exceed the number of seats;
• catering establishments are closed from 22:00 to 7:00;
• hostels are closed, but hotels can accommodate clients;
• The work of discotheques and catering establishments with leisure organization is prohibited;
• gyms cannot function if they have more than one person for every 20 square meters;
• cinemas can only be 50% full

As a reminder, the weekend quarantine can be extended after November 30. The decree on the introduction of quarantine also provides for its extension.
