No water supply to the Russian-controlled Crimea will be completely unoccupied. Ukraine is not conducting negotiations on the water supply, officially or unofficially.
This statement was made by the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for the Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories, Oleksiy Reznikov, during the Kiev Security Forum.
According to him, the problems with water in Crimea are associated with an increase in the militarization of the occupied peninsula, which leads to an increase in the consumption of water for military purposes. The responsibility for supplying water, as Reznikov pointed out, rests entirely with the occupying state.
“Therefore, the questions and stories from the Russian Federation that something is not being resolved there, and that the Ukrainian side must decide, are insignificant. Today they are responsible for ensuring any humanitarian need, including water supply,” stressed the vice president. -premiere.
We will remember, recently, the Kremlin announced its intentions to solve the water problem in Crimea without involving Ukraine.
Before that, a high alert regime was introduced in busy Sevastopol due to a lack of water.
