Shakhtar CEO Sergei Palkin spoke about the future of midfielder Georgy Sudakov and forward Bogdan Vyunnik.
We remind you that the 18-year-old pair of footballers made their debut in the Pitmen’s starting eleven in the match against Mariupol (4: 1). Sudakov scored his first goal at all.
– What can you say about the meeting with Mariupol?
– The fight is interesting, “Mariupol” was disciplined, physically strong and aggressive. I think a promising young Kudrik has become a man of the match for the opponent. In our team, he was mainly interested in looking at Sudakov and Vyunnik – this is our future. The guys were good, I really liked how they played, especially Sudakov. I am sure that in the future the Sudakov-Vyunnik team will create many chances and score many goals.
– Both Vyunnik and Sudakov made their debut in Shakhtar’s starting lineup. Should they throw them in games and can the boys strengthen the team in the Champions League?
– With the game that the boys showed, they will definitely compete very hard with the grassroots players. I am sure that in the near future more and more will come to the base.
