President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said he did not feel tension in relations between Ukraine and the United States, despite the lack of direct contact with President Joe Biden.
He announced it at a joint briefing with the head of the European Council, Charles Michel, on March 3. It was broadcast on the official Facebook page of the guarantor.
“Nobody feels any tension, on the contrary, we feel the support of our strategic partner. Until now,” Zelensky stressed.
He specified that Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba was in contact with the administration of the US leader. And the contacts at the level of foreign ministries, the president stressed, also speak of the interaction of strategic partners.
“I know the detailed content of this conversation,” added the president.
As a reminder, in January, Ukraine’s ambassador to the United States, Volodymyr Yelchenko, noted that the Ukrainian side was working to invite US leader Joe Biden to Kiev. At the same time, the option of Vladimir Zelensky’s visit to Washington is not excluded.
Soon, Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba noted that work is continuing to organize negotiations between Zelensky and Biden.
