Former NJSC Naftogaz Ukraine CEO Yuriy Vitrenko was appointed to the post of First Deputy Minister and Acting Minister of Energy. Olga Buslavets was fired from the post of First Deputy Minister and Acting Minister.

This was reported to RBC-Ukraine by sources in the Cabinet of Ministers.

This decision was made at an extraordinary government meeting on Monday, December 21.

We will recall, earlier RBC-Ukraine in the material “Tangled relations. What is happening between Zelensky and Kolomoisky” reported that it is planned to appoint Yuriy Vitrenko head of the Ministry of Energy. This could be a probationary period before the presidency.

Note that last week the Verkhovna Rada failed to appoint Yuriy Vitrenko as First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Energy. Only 186 popular deputies voted in favor of the resolution, with a minimum of 226 required.

Earlier, RBC-Ukraine wrote that Olga Buslavets wrote a letter of resignation from her post today. At the same time, he did not comment on the reasons for his decision.
