The incumbent mayor is ahead of the competition
If the elections for the mayor of Kiev had been held in early September, Vitali Klitschko would have received the most support from voters. 43.6% of those who are willing to participate in the elections and have decided who to vote for are willing to vote for the incumbent mayor.
This is evidenced by the survey data from the Sociological Group “Rating”.
According to the survey, the following are among the candidates:
- Sergey Pritula – 9.8%,
- Irina Vereshchuk – 6.9%,
- Andrey Palchevsky – 6.4%,
- Alexander Popov – 5.8%,
- Alexey Kucherenko – 5.7%
- Alexander Omelchenko 4.0%.
The rating of other candidates is below 3%. Those who were undecided, about 11%.
The survey was conducted by the Sociological Group “Rating” from September 4 to 9, 2020 among 1,200 respondents. Survey method: formalized personal interview (face-to-face). Research representativeness error: no more than 2.8%.
Recall, according to a poll by the Razumkov Center, in early July, 44% of Kiev residents planned to vote for Vitali Klitschko in mayoral elections.
Note that, according to a survey by the Razumkov Center, in early August, the leader among the parties in the Kiev City Council elections was the UDAR Vitali Klitschko party, for which 20% of Kiev residents were willing to vote.
