Violators of quarantine in Ukraine will be fined on the spot, – Lyashko
A bill related to the implementation of quarantine measures has been submitted to the Verkhovna Rada.
Ukraine’s Chief Medical Officer Viktor Lyashko said Ukrainians who violate quarantine measures will be fined by the police on the spot. The corresponding bill has already been submitted to the Verkhovna Rada session. On Friday, October 30, Lyashko said this on the air of the Voice of the People talk show on Ukraine’s 112 TV channel.
“On the agenda of the next session of the Verkhovna Rada there is a bill that will allow the National Police of Ukraine to draw up a protocol and a fine immediately at the place of the offender,” Lyashko said.
In addition, he noted that wearing a mask does not harm human health.
“Recently, a study was published that showed the positive and negative aspects of wearing a mask. The fact that we say that wearing a mask can reduce the amount or concentration of oxygen in the blood, has been shown that this is not true, it is false, “he said.
Lyashko added that if the mask is of high quality, approved for production and is a proven means of personal protection, then it does not harm health, but protects.
Recall that the Ministry of Health is in favor of increasing the size of the fine for violating quarantine requirements. The corresponding bill is in parliament, but the deputies have not yet considered it.
