In the 25th minute of the match of the 12th round of the Ukrainian championship between Kolos and Oleksandriya, referee Yuriy Mozharovskiy scored a penalty on goal by Yuriy Pankiv. “Kolos” full-time penalty taker Yevgeny Seleznev promised to carry out the sentence. The Ukrainian was not wrong. Pankiv guessed where the ball would fly, but couldn’t stop the blow. This is the forward’s fourth goal this season and all four have been scored from one point.
This goal was 115 for Seleznev in the Ukrainian championships. The forward scored 68 goals for Dnipro, 24 for Shakhtar, 19 for Arsenal Kiev and four for Kovalevka’s team. The best scorers in UPL history are Sergey Rebrov and Maxim Shatskikh, with 123 goals each. Note that Seleznev has the best percentage of goals per game, compared to the record holders: 0.48, while in Rebrov 0.47 and in Shatskikh 0.36.
The former striker of the Ukrainian team joined the Kolos in early September this year. His contract with the club runs until the end of the current season. Transfermarkt estimated the 35-year-old player at 300,000 euros.
