Some of the victims of the massacre in the village of Novoselitsa in the Zhytomyr region, in which the owner of the local reservoir Anatoly Zakharenko is accused, had weapons and quadcopters on the day of the tragedy on May 22.
On December 29, at a meeting of the Bohunsky District Court of Zhytomyr, relatives of the victims spoke about this, Ukrinform reports. When considering the suspect’s case in the murder of seven people and the attempted murder of his partner, they declared six victims.
So, in court they interrogated Eskender Osmanov’s sister, Andrei Moskalets’ mother, and the wives of Vitaly Vulchin, Alexander Bilous, Vladislav Mamichenko and Vladimir Kupriyanov. At the same time, Roman Khanenko’s representative did not appear at the meeting due to illness.
“From the testimony of the victims, it was known that some of the dead carried weapons and quadcopters with them. Likewise, the relatives of the victims who were insured said that they have not yet received the insurance payment. This is because alcohol or a insurance company on the bodies of the victims. requires documents on the verdict of the court “, – said in the message.
It is noted that six victims also filed civil claims to recover 2 million UAH from Zakharenko for non-pecuniary damage.
During the court hearing, the prosecutor Denis Sagadin recalled that on May 21, eight men came to the pond in the village of Novoselitsa, Popelnyanskiy district, Zhytomirshchyna, rented by Zakharenko, and received his permission to rest there and fish.
According to the prosecutor, on the evening of the same day, the vacationers gathered at the viewpoint, talked, consumed food and alcohol. They were soon joined by Zakharenko … The conversation turned into a conflict due to the difference of opinions, negative statements and insults towards the reservoir tenant began. Later, six of those present went to the house to rest, and two stayed in the viewpoint. Zakharenko, on the other hand, took a pistol and cartridges from the trailer he was temporarily living in, and began firing on the lookout near the house and at himself. Only Vadim Fedyudin managed to escape the scene.
“Some of the examinations, which are very important to this criminal process, for some reason were not done. I can say briefly that there were no drugs in Zhytomyr to do toxicology (forensic toxicological investigation. – Ed.) To the victims, that is, according to incomprehensible reasons “, – said the lawyer of the suspect Igor Tcherezov.
Another advocate for Zakharenko Marina Sholodko emphasized that her client is mentally healthy, sober and during the conflict received multiple gunshot wounds to her right hand. He claims that 42 bullet casings were found in the house where the victims were.
It should be noted that the questioning of the witness Fedyudin was postponed until the next judicial session, which will be held on January 5. Zakharenko will be detained until January 8.
Recall: on October 31, the police sent the indictment to a 58-year-old resident of the Popelnyansky district for the murder of 7 Kiev residents and the attempted murder of his comrade. Anatoly Zakharenko faces life in prison.
