Attorney General Irina Venediktova is not resigning. According to her, unlike other officials, she did not write an advance statement of her own free will.
This was stated in an interview, a fragment of which was shown yesterday on the air of the talk show “Freedom of expression with Savik Shuster”.
According to her, she did not write a resignation letter of her own free will when she was appointed to a new position.
“Such a statement does not exist. Besides, I am not going to write it, because it is irresponsible,” Venediktova said.
He emphasized that he did not lead the Prosecutor’s Office to “sit in the chairs.” And he added that the Verkhovna Rada can always collect signatures, summon him to parliament and vote for removal, if there are such intentions.
“Until the Verkhovna Rada shows its will, I will remain in the position of Attorney General,” Venediktova added.

We will recall, earlier RBC-Ukraine in the material “Unsuccessful staff: why the authorities began to speak again about high-profile resignations,” wrote that the head of the SBU Ivan Bakanov could become the new attorney general, and Irina Venediktova, the minister of justice.
Justice Minister Denis Malyuska reacted to this, saying that he was not going to resign.
