Attorney General Irina Venediktova spoke on Tuesday, September 15, in the Verkhovna Rada. Among other things, she spoke about the cases against the people’s deputies, even commented on the scandal with the “people’s servant” Alexander Yurchenko.

Earlier, the popular deputy Geo Leros, expelled from the People’s Servant, said that Yurchenko’s assistant was caught in a bribe, after which the popular deputy, according to his colleague Alexander Kachura, decided to write a statement to leave the faction until the situation is resolved.

“Yesterday I received a letter from NABU management with a request to sign the suspicion without production materials … The letter and a draft. Everything. I stand out, we are ready … – the prosecutors of SAP, myself personally – to study the materials of the criminal process, develop them, if necessary – to give instructions and, if there are sufficient grounds, to report the suspicion. I will do this and report, “Venediktova said.

He stressed that he does not intend to cover anyone.

“But manipulating, pushing and discussing with you the criminal cases that the media write about is wrong and it can’t be like that,” Venediktova said.

“In this state, there are several cases of deputies of many people. And we will see the results, or we will reach procedural decisions or not,” said the Attorney General, without giving details.
