Russian hackers managed to break into the US Department of Homeland Security, Reuters reports, citing their sources.

The Russian hackers allegedly managed to access the internal communications of the said ministry.

“A team of experienced hackers, allegedly working for the Russian government, gained access to internal communications from the US Department of Homeland Security, according to sources,” the report said.

This hacker attack is associated with cyberattacks on the United States Department of the Treasury and Commerce, which took place on the eve of December 13.
