Slovakia on Saturday December 26 began the vaccination against the coronavirus. A third country has already started vaccinating against COVID-19 in the European Union.

The first in the country to be vaccinated on Saturday night was an infectious disease specialist and member of the government commission to fight the pandemic, Vladimir Krchmeri. President Zuzana Czaputova, several ministers and members of parliament will receive a dose of the Pfizer vaccine on Sunday.
Slovakia has already received 10,000 doses of the vaccine. In total, the country has agreements to buy 18 million doses for a population of 5.45 million. The vaccine is expected to be available to all people who are not at risk by Easter in April 2021.
We will remember that today Hungary was the first to start vaccination in the EU. Vaccines also started in Germany, where nursing home residents and workers received doses of Pfizer.
The general vaccination process against the coronavirus in the European Union will be launched on the morning of December 27.
