In Ukraine, first of all, they are going to vaccinate about 20 million people from various risk groups against the coronavirus. They are going to vaccinate at the expense of the budget.
Health Minister Maxim Stepanov spoke about this on the talk show “Savik Shuster’s Freedom of Speech”.
“All the risk categories are around 20 million people. We think they need to be vaccinated and they need to be vaccinated at the expense of the state budget. These are people over 60, people with comorbidities, these are all categories based on characteristics occupational. They need to be vaccinated at the expense of the budget and we believe that will be correct, “said Stepanov.
Stepanov also said that the criteria for purchasing a coronavirus vaccine have already been determined. This is the approval of the WHO and certain countries.
Earlier, the Ministry of Health said that Ukraine should receive one batch of vaccine from the international COVAX mechanism at the end of the first, early in the second quarter of 2021.
