A group of US senators has drafted a law on security assistance and strategic support to Ukraine. The Office of the President responded to this that the country highly values this initiative.

Senators John Barrasso, Gene Shaheen, Jim Risch, Bob Menendez, Rob Portman became the authors of the bill.
As Risch said, Russia illegally seized Crimea seven years ago and launched a campaign of secret military support for terrorists in eastern Ukraine.
“Despite Russia’s blatant disregard for international laws and obligations, Ukraine remains a loyal partner of the United States and resists Russia’s malicious influence in Europe. I am proud to reintroduce this law today to demonstrate the continued support of the United States.
