The United States imposed personal sanctions against the head of the Chechen Republic (RF) Ramzan Kadyrov, and six organizations and five peopleassociated with it.
The United States Department of the Treasury announced such measures on its website on December 10, in International human rights day… The head of Chechnya was included in the so-called Magnitsky List.
The US authorities accused Kadyrov of participation in murder Boris Nemtsov and human rights violations.

Vakhit Usmayev, Deputy Prime Minister of Chechnya, “acted or intended to act in the interest or on behalf of Kadyrov”;

Timur Dugazaev and Ziyad Sabsabi, representatives of Kadyrov;

Daniil Martynov, personal security adviser to the head of Chechnya;

Satish Semar is Kadyrov’s coach who “sponsored or provided material or technological support, goods and services in support” of the head of the republic.
Therefore, all property of Kadyrov and persons associated with him in the United States (or in the territory where American laws apply) will be blocked and removed… They will also block property that belongs directly or indirectly to these people by 50 percent or more.
Additionally, US citizens and businesses forbidden to interact with people on the sanctions list (from business transactions to financial assistance).
“Magnitsky Law” It was adopted in the United States in 2012 in response to the death of Sergei Magnitsky, a Russian auditor at the Firestone Duncan consultancy. He published an investigation into the embezzlement schemes of the budget of the Russian Federation.
Subsequently, people accused of violating human rights and the principle of the rule of law were sanctioned by this law.
