The president of the United States, Donald Trump, has substantially closed the racial gap with his Democratic opponent Joe Biden. Sociologists attribute the narrowing of the gap to the country’s economic growth.
This is evidenced by the latest results of a sociological survey conducted by Harvard CAPS / Harris, writes The Hill.
“47% of those who are going to participate in the elections said they would vote for Biden if the elections were held now. At the same time, 45% said they would support Trump,” the message says.
Thus, the latest poll shows a three-point improvement for Trump and a two-point worsening for Biden compared to the August results.
Sociologists explain the narrowing of the gap by the fact that the current head of the White House has shown positive dynamics in terms of economic growth in the country.
The poll was conducted September 22-24 with 1,314 US citizens eligible to vote in the United States.
Recall that Joe Biden is ahead of President Donald Trump nationally by 9 percent.
