In the first set I didn’t feel the ball. Yes, I trained with new balls before the game. It wasn’t that cold today, but it was raining a lot and the balls were out of control for me. The court was slow because it was very wet and hard. It was possible to drive to the balls, there were no problems with that, because there is high-quality soil at Roland Garros. Perhaps because of this, the balls did not bounce much either, but got stuck somewhere in the middle. He didn’t have the right sensations, he couldn’t handle the ball, although I usually play in a variable way. It was difficult to play like this in these conditions.
I have not been active enough. Usually my first serve flies stronger. It was convenient for the opponent to attack on the second ball, I noticed that and wanted to increase the percentage of hits on the first. But he didn’t have many light glasses. My pitch didn’t fly today so I played with what I have. Even at the end of the match I had the opportunity to win, until the last rally I felt that I could change the course of the game and I tried to do it. But it didn’t work, so of course I’m not happy with the result. “
