Balukh’s arm and clavicle are broken, no threat to life, according to colleagues
The presidency has demanded that the National Police investigate the crime promptly and thoroughly.
Public activist Vladimir Balukh was beaten on the night of Tuesday, September 8. This was announced by director Oleg Sentsov on the social network.
“Vladimir Balukh was beaten tonight. They found him alone in the morning. He is now in the hospital. His condition is serious. Details are being investigated. Volodya is conscious. His arm and clavicle are broken. There is no threat to life.” , said.
The deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of the European Solidarity party Irina Gerashchenko on the social network clarified that a woman found Balukh in a semi-unconscious state and answered the phone call of the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Akhtem Chiygoz.
So this woman helped call an ambulance.
In turn, the presidential office issued a statement demanding that the National Police investigate the crime in a timely and thorough manner.
“So far there is no confirmed data that indicates that there could be a political motive in the attacks. But all versions must be carefully reviewed, in particular the policy,” emphasized the president’s office.
They also noted that street violence in Ukraine has reached alarming proportions in recent years.
Let us remember that the European Solidarity Party has included Balukh in its list of candidates for the next local elections.
