Ukrainians will receive an international certificate of vaccination.

The international certificate will be issued by a family doctor.

Each family doctor is expected to issue a document of this type, however, the mechanism is still being developed.

All family doctors are likely to issue an international vaccination certificate against COVID-19. At the moment, the Ministry of Health is looking for mechanisms on how to organize this. This was stated by the Chief Medical Officer Viktor Lyashko in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine, which was published on Thursday, January 14.

According to him, now in Ukraine, an international vaccination certificate is issued more often about vaccination against yellow fever. Also, nationwide, it can only be done in five to six offices.

“Vaccination against COVID-19 will be carried out at at least 4,250 vaccination points. We plan to ensure that each family doctor can issue an international certificate of vaccination against COVID-19, so we are studying the mechanisms,” said Lyashko .

He also said when the vaccination passport will be valid.

“Only when, for example, you want to travel to Great Britain and she, for example, sets a condition to have an international vaccination certificate with you when crossing the state border,” said the deputy minister.

Lyashko spoke about the planned vaccination mechanism in Ukraine.

“We will be vaccinated with an entry in the electronic medical record of the patient in the Electronic Health System, which is moderated by the NHSU, while we develop said system,” said the deputy director of the Ministry of Health.

According to him, the doctor will give the patient an international sample in English or French, putting his signature and stamp on it.

We will recall, Lyashko also announced when a vaccine is expected in Ukraine according to the COVAX distribution mechanism.
