Ukrainians, on average, consider it acceptable to them pension in the amount of 11 359 hryvnia, which is 3.3 times higher than the average pension level recorded by the Pension Fund of Ukraine in October 2020.
This is stated in the data from a sociological survey Research & Branding Group (conducted a survey from October 16 to 25, 2020. A total of 1,800 respondents were interviewed). At the same time, the average pension in Ukraine it is about 3.5 thousand UAH.
It should be noted that compared to November last year, Ukrainians’ perceptions of the level of an acceptable pension increased insignificantly (by about 3%), from 11.0 thousand hryvnia in 2019 to 11.4 thousand hryvnia in 2020.
The results of the analysis show that the perception of Ukrainians about the level of pension acceptable to them is, to some extent, influenced by socio-demographic characteristics such as gender, age, locality and region of residence:

It is typical for men to declare a higher amount of an acceptable pension than women (on average, respectively, 12.1 thousand and 10.8 thousand hryvnias)

As the age of Ukrainians increases, as a rule, the amount of the pension, which they consider acceptable, also decreases. Thus, for people of retirement age, the average level of an acceptable pension amounted to 11.2 thousand hryvnia, and for people aged 30 to 39, 13.3 thousand hryvnia;

Depending on the type of settlement, the highest average level of acceptable pension was recorded among residents of regional centers (12.7 thousand hryvnias) and the lowest among residents of rural areas (9.5 thousand hryvnias);

Against the background of the regions, the residents of the eastern regions stand out, who named the highest level of acceptable pension payments – 14.1 thousand hryvnia. In other regions, the value ranged from 10.5 thousand to 11.0 thousand hryvnia.
