In the near future, the situation with the spread of the coronavirus may become very heavy for Ukraine’s medical system, scientists from the Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute believe.
Ukrainian scientists predict that in the near future, the daily increase in COVID-19 patients in the country may reach 7,800 cases. This was reported by the press service of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
Released on October 11, the results of a study by KPI scientists indicate a worsening situation with the spread of the coronavirus in Ukraine and the world. Now Ukraine is among the countries with the highest number of new infections every day.
The predictive model performed by the scientists suggests that in the next two weeks the number of newly diagnosed patients in Ukraine may fluctuate in the range of 4,500 to 7,800 people per day.
“The situation can become super difficult for the country’s medical system. The bed load of confirmed patients is close to 40%, and if we take into account the suspected and confirmed cases, this figure reaches almost 60%, which can derive in its significant overload and the impossibility of fully fulfilling its assigned functions “, – says the message.
During the last day in Ukraine registered 4,420 new cases of coronavirus infection, the total number of infected reached 265,454. Of COVID-19 in the countryMerlot already has 5,015 patients, 43 of them in the last 24 hours. 146,029 people are still ill, 114,410 recovered.
