The Marine Corps of the Naval Forces of Ukraine (VMSU) will receive 60 new BTR-4s next year.

In total, in 2021, the Armed Forces (AFU) plan to transfer 77 linear BTR-4-15 (BTR-4E), one commander (BTR-4K), one repair (BREM-4RM) and 60 amphibians.
In early December, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel General Ruslan Khomchak, announced the tests of a new version of the BTR-4 for the Ukrainian Navy, which should be carried out soon.
Almost simultaneously with this statement, on December 7, the press service of concern Ukroboronprom published on its Facebook page a video of the tests of the BTR-4E variant for the Ukrainian Navy. The adapted equipment with additional “floats” was successfully dropped into the water from the Svatovo Navy landing craft.
Earlier, OBOZREVATEL reported that more than 40 “Kozak-2” special armored vehicles were delivered to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The equipment was developed in 2015, passed a full cycle of state tests, and was adopted by the Ukrainian army in 2017. Overall, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have 240 such machines.
