The man fell ill on the fourth day of rest, although he had not previously had any signs of discomfort.

Going on vacation, the Lyakhov family did not test for COVID-19, because they did not see the need for this, everyone felt good. They arrived in Turkey on August 16. On the 3-4 day rest, Atila felt weakness and pains in her body, and her temperature rose. On August 21, she went to the doctor, where she was tested for coronavirus and it came back positive.
“There was not a hint of something like that. He already felt bad on the fourth day of rest. At first they thought that the air conditioning had inflated, because the day before I was just as bad, – Victoria Lyakh said. – We were taking flu medicine. They helped me, but not my husband. After 3 days of unsuccessful treatment and deterioration of health, and after I stopped feeling tastes and smells, I realized what it is. We went to a local clinic to be examined and given the necessary medical assistance. Then they passed the PCR test, which came back positive. “
For several days in the hospital, Atila was transferred to the intensive care unit and connected to a ventilator. On September 7, a man died in Anadolu hospital as a result of complications from the coronavirus infection.
The woman herself, despite feeling bad, was not identified with the coronavirus, but her 12-year-old daughter tested positive for COVID-19.
“The daughter feels relatively well. ” – Victoria Lyakh said.
Now the wife of the deceased is trying to organize the repatriation of her husband’s body to his homeland, and with this the Lyakhov family has a problem.
The insurer VUSO explained to the relatives of the deceased that Atila had a regular insurance policy for a period from August 22 to September 4, which provides only 14 days for the handling of a COVID-19 case, OBOZREVATEL writes.
However, the insurance company placed itself in the position of the family and made a compromise decision to pay the cost of repatriating Attila Lyakh’s body. This could cost the company $ 25,000.
Victoria Lyakh and her daughter will return to Lviv on Wednesday 9 September. Attila Lyakh’s body is due to arrive on Thursday, September 10. The family lives in the transcarpathian city of Vinogradov. Victoria works as a hairdresser-stylist, Atila was in business.
