At a meeting held on September 3, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine did not vote in favor of draft resolution No. 3898 on the appointment of parliamentary representatives in the commission for the realization of a contest to occupy administrative positions in the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office.

Representatives of Western Ukraine’s donors and creditors noted that the anti-corruption efforts of the Ukrainian authorities “were and continue to be at the heart of the partnership between the international community and Ukraine”, and the SAP is “a fundamental part of the anti-corruption architecture of Ukraine. The diplomats and creditors in the letter refrained from evaluating the candidates proposed in the draft resolution, but recalled the requirement of the law regarding high reputation and experience in the field of anti-corruption for the members of the competition committee.
