According to Dzhaparova, today there are no grounds for a possible review of visa-free travel by the EU.

Ukraine has not received any information from the representatives of the European Union at the official level on the revision of the visa waiver policy, said the first deputy foreign minister.

Statements by individual European politicians on a visa-free regime with Ukraine are not the official position of the European Union. This was stated by the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Emine Dzhaparova, in a comment on the Voice of America radio.

“Ukraine has not received from the representatives of the European Union at the official level information on the revision of the visa exemption policy towards Ukraine. Some statements that may sound are statements of political figures,” he said.

According to Dzhaparova, there are currently no grounds for a possible review of visa-free travel by the EU.

“Over the past six years, the EU has invested heavily in both the economy and the rule of law in Ukraine. Kiev, in turn, always listens to the opinion of international partners,” he said.

As a reminder, on September 17, the Rada approved the commission members in a competition for positions at SAP. After that, Viola von Cramon, MEP and member of the EP’s foreign affairs committee, said that the visa-free regime with the EU and a tranche of € 1.5 billion could be canceled due to attempts by the Ukrainian authorities to install “your” SAP boss.
