Ukraine’s coronavirus vaccination plan released on December 24

Ukraine has published a plan for mass vaccination of the population against coronavirus. It consists of five stages and has 9 risk groups.

The corresponding plan was published on the Facebook page of the Ministry of Health.

The plan includes 9 priority groups: health workers; military personnel; Social workers; people living in long-term care facilities and employees of such facilities; older people (60+ years); employees of critical structures of state security (State Emergency Service, National Police, National Guard, SBU, Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ministry of the Interior).

As well as teachers and other educators; people 18 to 59 years with comorbidities; people who are in prisons and remand centers and employees of these institutions.

The priority of retirees may change based on definitive information on the safety, efficacy, and tolerability of vaccines in older people.

Recall that the Ministry of Health mentioned the main factors from which it will be based to obtain a vaccine against the coronavirus. The availability of vaccines is an important factor.

Note that Ukraine wants to receive an additional 8 million doses of coronavirus vaccine through the COVAX mechanism.
