Upon his return to this country, the Ukrainian ambassador to Belarus, Igor Kizim, was inspected against diplomatic practice. In his opinion, this was the result of the loss of trust between Ukraine and Belarus.

Said this in an interview with hromadske.ua.

According to him, the latest accusations by Belarusian leaders against Ukraine do not contribute to the establishment of trust between the states.

“Here is the last example. When I crossed the border, returning from Ukraine in my own transport, they inspected me. They looked at my personal belongings, it does not correspond at all to diplomatic practice. They forced me to open the car, show what was in it. trunk. In 27 years of work I have never found that attitude towards the Ukrainian ambassador, “he said.

We will recall, it was previously reported that the Ukrainian ambassador returned to Minsk after consultations. Relations between the countries soured after the presidential elections in Belarus, and current President Alexander Lukashenko, amid large-scale protests, accused Kiev of interfering in internal affairs.

In particular, Lukashenko said that protests in the country are controlled by the United States, Poland, the Czech Republic, Ukraine and Lithuania. According to him, there is no internal destabilization in the country.
