Kiev will adhere to international standards
The Ukrainian side, if it considers that “everything stops” at the TCG meeting, will take more decisive measures to achieve peace in Donbass.
The head of the Ukrainian delegation to the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) to resolve the situation in Donbass, Leonid Kravchuk, said that Ukraine will “under no circumstances” abandon the Minsk agreements and propose concrete actions to resolve the situation in Donbass, writes TASS.
“In the new year, there will be more decisive and concrete actions to achieve the main theme: the establishment of peace in Donbas,” Kravchuk said.
He stressed that this will apply to the laws on elections, amnesty and local government. The TCG head added that decisions will be based on the Normandy format agreements.
According to Kravchuk, Kiev will take further action if it decides that at the December 16 meeting “everything is in place.”
Leonid Kravchuk said Ukraine’s actions will be “a comprehensive program that includes many components.” At the same time, Kiev will adhere to international standards.
Korrespondent.net wrote that Kiev plans to demand tougher sanctions against the Russian Federation because of Donbass. Ukraine intends to coordinate its actions regarding Donbass with the EU and the United States, Kravchuk said.
Let us also remember that Kravchuk sees no possibility of a prisoner exchange. The Ukrainian side has resolved all the issues about the detainee exchange, but the Russian Federation and the separatists refuse.
