The weather in Ukraine will get worse over the weekend. Meteorologists warned of icy roads, as well as rain and sleet.
This was reported by the press service of the Kiev Patrol Police with reference to the Ukrhydrometeorological Center.
So, on Friday, December 11, until the end of the day in the north, in places in the central and western regions, the ice will remain on the roads.
On Saturday December 12 it will be cloudy in Ukraine. In some places, sleet and light rain are expected, as well as ice. Road ice is expected in most regions.
Additionally, moderate rains with sleet are forecast for most of the country on Sunday, December 13, and ice may be present in some places.
As a reminder, it started to rain on December 10 in Kiev, but due to frost, the precipitation turned to ice. The severe icy conditions caused dozens of traffic accidents and traffic jams in the capital’s streets.
There was also bad weather in other regions of Ukraine. More than 170 settlements in three regions were without power due to bad weather.
We add that from evening to morning in Kiev more than 160 people were injured due to the ice. More than ten children were injured.
