Representatives of the Ukrainian team returned from Switzerland, where local authorities banned the deciding match of the Nations League group stage for the right to keep a residence permit in the elite division.

The reason was identified cases of coronavirus infection in Andriy Shevchenko’s team camp, while tests of other players in Switzerland were negative. Despite the willingness of the “blue yellows” to enter the field, the Ukrainian team was quarantined in defiance of UEFA medical protocols.

As reported UAF Official WebsiteUpon the arrival of the country’s main national team in Boryspil, all members of the Ukrainian delegation were tested for COVID-19. All the results were negative, including those of Sergei Krivtsov and Junior Moraes, who were mistakenly diagnosed with coronavirus in Switzerland.

It should be noted that the equipment testing procedure for the coronavirus was performed by specialists from a UEFA-certified laboratory in Ukraine. The fate of the failed duel between the Swiss and Ukrainian teams still depends on UEFA’s decision.
