Health Minister Maxim Stepanov said the anti-epidemic restrictions introduced in Ukraine, including the weekend quarantine, have paid off. The Ministry of Health is observing a decrease in the spread of the coronavirus.

According to the minister, the government did not obtain the maximum result, but the quarantine restrictions introduced stopped the spread of the hurricane disease.

“By the fourth day we see that these figures are lower than those of a week ago. Today we have 13 825 cases on the last day, and on Saturday of last week there were 16 294. That is, almost 2.5 thousand people fell ill. less, “he explained.

Stepanov added that the death rate from coronavirus in Ukraine is one of the lowest among European countries.

“If we look at the mortality rate, and we have one of the lowest in Europe, it is around 1.7%. This is the main result. We saved the lives of at least 42 people,” the minister stressed.

We recall, in Ukraine once again recovered from the coronavirus, more than new cases of COVID-19 were registered. Almost 15,000 Ukrainians recovered from the coronavirus yesterday.
