The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak said that Kiev is ready to convey the position of Ukraine and the algorithm by which the authorities are trying to achieve peace in Donbass in the most transparent and detailed way possible.
Ukraine offers a clear plan of action to achieve peace in Donbass with specific dates for the implementation of all agreements concluded at the last meeting of the leaders of the Normandy Four in Paris in December 2019, reported the Office of the President of Ukraine on September 14 after the meeting of the head of the department Andriy Yermak with the ambassadors of the countries. “We are grateful for your support and want to convey to you the position of Ukraine and the algorithm by which we move towards a peaceful solution to the military conflict in Donbas in the most transparent and detailed way possible,” Yermak emphasized.
He noted that the silence regime was possible thanks to the support of the G7 countries.
Yermak signaled an agreement between the political advisers of the Normandy Four to hold another meeting in the near future. This, according to the head of the Presidency, will bring the summit of its leaders closer.
Participants in the meetings at the advisory level and in the trilateral contact group to resolve the situation in Donbass will carry out outreach work “to achieve peace as soon as possible,” Yermak said.
“We understand that communication, even with the media, is very necessary and important,” summarized the head of the Presidency.
On July 22, 2020, the trilateral contact group agreed to a full and complete ceasefire in Donbas starting at midnight on July 27. Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that the Joint Forces in Donbass would respond to enemy bombardments even after the ceasefire went into effect.
