The Armed Forces of Ukraine prepare for the Russian exercises near the border

Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on Russia’s plans to hold military exercises near Ukraine’s borders.

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukraine’s leadership and the country’s Armed Forces are preparing for the situation where Russia conducts the Caucasus 2020 exercises near Ukraine’s borders. He said this on Saturday, September 12, at a briefing in the Odessa region.

Zelensky pointed out that this issue was studied in detail and discussed with the commander-in-chief of the army, representatives of the General Staff, the Ministry of Defense and intelligence.

“We are prepared for this issue, we are not afraid of anything, we are fully prepared,” he said.

Large-scale Russian exercises are scheduled for September 20.

We will recall, in early September, Russia conducted exercises in Crimea with the participation of the S-400.

It was also reported that the military command of the Russian Federation arrived in Crimea to check the readiness of the Russian Black Sea Fleet for the 2020 Caucasus exercises.
