Amendments to traffic regulations have entered into force in Ukraine. Meanwhile, the Cabinet is preparing for the possible introduction of a strict quarantine during the winter holidays.
Probability of entering a total block
The introduction of full quarantine with reference to the New Year holidays, as noted by Health Minister Maxim Stepanov, is possible in case of a rapid increase in daily cases of COVID-19 infection.
According to Prime Minister Denis Shmygal, the cabinet of ministers is preparing for the possible introduction of a severe quarantine during the winter holidays.
Incidence of COVID-19
In Ukraine, 13,882 new cases of coronavirus infection were confirmed per day. In total, since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, 661,858 Ukrainians have fallen ill, of which 307,778 have recovered, 11,492 have died.
The head of the Ministry of Health, Maxim Stepanov, believes that the tense situation during the second wave of the COVID-19 epidemic will continue until March 2021.
