Ukraine must pay $ 16 billion of public debt in 2021

At the same time, payments will be lower in the next two years: $ 8.6 billion in 2022 and $ 8.9 billion in 2023.

In 2021, Ukraine must pay $ 16 billion of its national debt. Interfax-Ukraine reported this on Monday, December 28, citing data from the Finance Ministry.

In particular, of the total amount of $ 16 billion, $ 8.2 billion correspond to the payment of the internal debt, $ 3.4 billion to the external debt, $ 2.7 billion to the service of the internal debt and $ 1.8 billion to the external debt.

At the same time, in subsequent years, state debt payments will drop to $ 8.6 billion in 2022 and $ 8.9 billion in 2023.

So the payment of the national debt will amount to $ 10.1 billion in 2024 and $ 8.1 billion in 2025, respectively.

Let us remind you that in December Ukraine has to pay about $ 350 million in external debt and UAH 27.16 billion in internal debt.

It was also reported that Ukraine’s national debt grew by $ 1 billion in one month. In dollar terms, the national debt exceeded 84 billion and, in hryvnia, it almost reached 2.4 trillion.
