Despite the fact that in recent weeks the epidemic situation in the country has stabilized somewhat, the Ukrainians cannot help but tighten quarantine restrictions in January. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denis Shmyhal, on Facebook.

During the closure, it is planned to: close schools and kindergartens; government agencies will not work; prohibition to serve visitors in restaurants, cafes, bars; the operation of entertainment establishments is prohibited; The activity of gyms, gyms will be prohibited.

At the same time, work will be allowed: public transport (with restriction of passengers by the number of seats); grocery stores, pharmacies, gas stations; ski resorts; hotels (the provision of breakfasts is allowed); churches (limited to 1 person per 5 square meters); catering establishments may work only in the mode of delivery and issuance of orders; Ukrainian citizens will also be allowed to enter and leave the country.

However, the final list of quarantine restrictions will be adopted at a government meeting on December 9.

As Denis Shmygal pointed out, the government is working on a list of quarantine measures together with the heads of cities and the regional state administration. According to him, the heads of cities and regional state administrations support the prohibition of the following events: prohibit the holding of festive concerts, the work of discos and nightclubs, public events on the premises, the work of hostels, shopping centers and entertainment: 100% of respondents; stop the work of museums, cinemas and theaters, catering establishments with the organization of leisure – 95%; ban the holding of New Year’s fairs, the activities of gyms and fitness centers – 90%.

The strict quarantine is expected to last three weeks, as, according to the Health Ministry, the restrictions will be effective if they are introduced for this period.
