Ukraine made up the gap in budget revenue by 34 billion UAH

For five months, Ukraine managed to meet the budget of 34 billion UAH, now the gap is 10 billion UAH.

Over the past five months, Ukraine has made up the gap in state budget revenue by 34 billion hryvnia. This was stated by the head of the Finance Ministry, Sergei Marchenko, in an interview with The Page on Tuesday, October 13.

“As of May 1, the breach of the budget plan for revenue was minus 44 billion hryvnia. Today it is already less than 10 billion. That is, in the last five months we have managed to recover the gap in budget revenue in the amount of 34 billion hryvnia, “said Marchenko.

The minister says that this happened, among other things, thanks to the optimization of the work of taxes and customs, the improvement of tax administration and the destruction of schemes and “drafts” with VAT.

“Customs fully comply with the plan, the tax authorities even exceed it. And this positive trend will continue in the future,” Marchenko added.

Recall that previously the Ministry of Finance named the amount of state debt payments. By the end of 2020, Ukraine has to pay around $ 3 billion, which is a significant burden on the budget in the face of the economic recession.

Parliament also said that the 2021 budget “must be saved.” Parliament is very dissatisfied with the document presented by the Ministry of Finance. The popular deputies presented more than 5,000 amendments.
