During a meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group on Donbass, at the initiative of the deputy head of the delegation, Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Reznikov, Ukraine proposed to carry out “humanitarian demining” in the occupied territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions before Easter. (may 2). This was reported on Wednesday, March 17, on the Telegram channel of the Ukrainian delegation to the TKG.
We are talking about demining areas where there are cemeteries, infrastructure facilities (water, gas and electricity, etc.) and where routine and other types of work are systematically carried out.
In addition, the Ukrainian side proposed to unblock the work of the “Happiness” and “Zolote” checkpoints.
“We are awaiting the relevant decisions of the Russian delegation,” the message reads.
Remember that earlier in the Donbass, the number of attacks increased considerably. The enemy used 120mm and 82mm mortars prohibited by the Minsk agreements near the Krasnogorovka, Peski, Novozvanovka, Zolotoe-4 and Opytnoe settlements.
Separatists were also reported to be mining roads in Donbas. The OSCE identified 33 mines planted near Yasnoye and 17 mines across the road near Sakhanka.
