Foreign Ministry sees Ukraine in NATO in 2030
The Ukrainian authorities are waiting to receive the Alliance Membership Action Plan for future reforms.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs sees Ukraine as a member of NATO in 2030. This was announced on Friday, December 4, by the deputy director of the department Emine Dzhaparova.
“Ukraine is optimistic. In 2030, we see ourselves as a full member of the Alliance,” Dzhaparova said, commenting on the expert report on NATO’s 2030 strategy.
In this context, the provision of the Membership Action Plan to Ukraine will be a powerful new impetus to move forward on the path of reforms and mobilization of efforts to achieve the membership criteria, he noted.
Dzhaparova recalled that the report reaffirmed the Alliance’s commitment to the policy of “open doors” with the aim of strengthening NATO’s eastern flank and developing cooperation with its eastern partners, in particular with Ukraine and Georgia.
As reported, the other day the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine made the first purchase of military goods for the Armed Forces of Ukraine through the NATO Supply and Support Agency.
