Ukraine will switch to winter time at night
Ukrainians will have to turn their clocks back one hour. Mobile phones will adjust and change the time by themselves.
On the night of Sunday October 25, Ukraine will switch to “winter” time. The hands of the clock should be delayed one hour to four in the morning. As noted in the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine, in our country the hands of the clock are delayed one hour every year, on the last Sunday of October at 4.00.
The annual transfer of clocks to summer and winter time is regulated by the government decree No. 509 “On the procedure for calculating time in Ukraine”, dated May 13, 1996.
“This is done to save energy,” explain the officials.
The clock hands need to be translated by yourself. As for computers, tablets, phones, time is always automatically transferred to them.
It is worth noting that the first vice president of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk registered a bill that proposed to abandon the additional seasonal translation of the clock hands and fix the uniform time of Kiev on the territory of our country.
As a reminder, on March 26, 2019, the European Parliament voted to abolish the seasonal clock change starting in 2021.
