The Ukrainian vaccine ran for six months.

Zelensky insisted on full government funding for the vaccine’s manufacture; in the near future, it will begin to be tested in humans.

The Ukrainian vaccine against COVID-19 has completed preclinical trials and has good prospects. Now the clinical phase should begin. This was announced during a briefing on Thursday October 22 by Health Minister Maxim Stepanov.

“On Tuesday, together with the scientists, we presented to the President the work, which lasted six months, to develop, pass the preclinical phase of the vaccine against COVID-19, a phase that consists of several great moments. This candidate vaccine was found to have pretty good prospects, “Stepanov said.

According to him, the development of this candidate was carried out by a consortium of American companies together with Ukrainian scientists.

In the near future, scientists will begin the clinical phase. According to Stepanov, it will be launched with the full support of the state, including in the financing of all processes.

It should be noted that the production of the vaccine will require about 100-150 million hryvnia.

“Calculations will be made. And I think we will fully fund this with the state. The very manufacture of this vaccine,” Stepanov said.

He stressed that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy insists on the full financing of the production of the Ukrainian vaccine against COVID-19.

As reported, this week, scientists informed Zelensky about the creation of a Ukrainian vaccine against the coronavirus. It was noted that the investigation has been conducted for six months.
