Ukraine’s NJSC Naftogaz plans to continue pumping a relatively cheap resource to underground storage facilities.

The state-owned company NAK Naftogaz of Ukraine has accumulated a record amount of gas required for the heating season in underground storage facilities, including the guarantee of European gas transit. This was announced on Tuesday, September 1 by the head of the NAC board, Andriy Kobolev, on the air of the television channel Ukraine 24.

“This year we have a record, the volume already exceeds 24 billion m3. I think we can reach 27-28 billion m3,” he said.

Recall that as of August 17, Naftogaz increased reserves in underground gas storage facilities by 50.84% ​​from the start of the injection season, or 8,040 million m3, to 23,854 million m3.
