The head of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine signs an agreement with the WHO

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the signing of the agreement took place online, simultaneously in Kiev and Copenhagen.

The Ukrainian Ministry of Health signed a two-year cooperation agreement with the World Health Organization (WHO). The signing of the agreement was carried out online, the head of the Health Ministry Maxim Stepanov said on his Facebook page on Thursday, November 5.

According to him, the document defines a clear roadmap for further joint work.

“In particular, with regard to solving challenges of our time such as the excessively high incidence of cardiovascular diseases, diabetes and tuberculosis in Ukraine. After all, the fight against the pandemic does not stop our efforts to implement strategic and qualitative changes in the health system, “he wrote.

According to Stepanov, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the signing of the agreement took place online, simultaneously in Kiev and Copenhagen.

We will recall that previously the Ministry of Health allowed to tighten the quarantine in Ukraine. Minister Stepanov allowed the introduction of a quarantined “day off” in the country, and also offers restaurants and cafes to work “to go”.
