Ukraine has once again recorded a record number of cases of coronavirus infection. This was announced on Facebook by the country’s Health Minister, Maxim Stepanov.
8,899 new cases of infection have been laboratory confirmed. The previous incidence record was registered on October 31, then 8752 cases of infection were detected.
During the day 157 patients with coronavirus infection died in the country. 5,100 people have recovered.
The total number of infected people in Ukraine reached 411,093, of which 168,868 recovered and 7,532 died. Now, 234,693 people are infected in the country.
On October 28, it was known that the government of Ukraine extended the emergency situation (ES) until the end of the year due to the increase in the number of people infected by coronavirus. Along with the emergency situation in the country, they expanded the effect of restrictive measures aimed at containing the epidemic.
On October 19, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky called on the condition for the introduction of a strict quarantine in the country. According to the head of state, a critical situation for Ukraine’s medical system will reach 9.5 thousand infected daily.
