The international coordination group promised to study in detail Tehran’s report on the PS752 disaster and expressed its solidarity with the families whose loved ones died in the disaster.

The International Group for the Coordination of Assistance to the Victims of the UIA Plane downed near Tehran on January 8, 2020 issued a joint statement in which it promised to carefully study Iran’s report on the accident, reports the Ministry of Foreign Relations of Ukraine.

“We, the ministers representing Afghanistan, Canada, Sweden, Ukraine and the United Kingdom, have taken note of the Final Security Investigation Report released by the Islamic Republic of Iran on the downing of Ukraine International Airlines Flight 752 (PS752) “, the document reads it says.

It is noted that members of the coordination group will begin to examine the report and its findings.

At the same time, the International Group recalled its solidarity with the families and loved ones of those who died in the accident.

“As before, the Coordination Group will continue to demand that the Islamic Republic of Iran be accountable and transparent about this tragedy and justice for the victims,” ​​the statement said.

Recall that the plane after leaving the airport in the Iranian capital, Tehran, was shot down by missiles. It killed 176 people, all passengers and crew members.

Iran submitted a report on the crash and named the culprit of the downed UIA plane. It turned out to be an air defense operator who made a mistake and fired two missiles. Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba criticized this report. According to him, Ukraine sent Iran more than 90 pages of comments and suggestions on the draft report and insisted that Tehran attach them to the final document.
