UEFA’s investigation into Pavelko’s actions was not about financial episodes

The Ukrainian Football Association on Facebook published an official statement, the text of which is provided below.

FIFA’s investigation against UAF President Andrei Pavelko turned out to be completely uncorrupted and did not refer to the financial episode at all, and UEFA’s verification of the cost of funds for Ukraine as a whole found no facts. not even to start the investigation.

1) The theses in the next article to discredit Swiss journalist Arno Bed about the alleged “financial investigation” by FIFA against Andrei Pavelko are refuted.

FIFA officially announced that its disciplinary procedures, falsely described by Mr. Beda in his article as an investigation into financial matters, were in fact exclusively related to the public support of Croatian soccer players by Andrei Pavelko.

“… he was undergoing a separate investigation into compliance with the FIFA code of ethics, not related to financial matters,” writes The Washington Post, citing FIFA’s response.

This ethics research was launched in August 2018.

“Pavelko opposed FIFA’s decision, according to which Croatian defender Domaga Vida was warned for commenting on an online video after defeating the World Cup host in the quarterfinals. Vida spoke positively of Ukraine , where he played for Dynamo Kyiv, ”says The Washington Post.

As everyone remembers, it was a slogan “Glory to Ukraine”, which Croatian soccer players expressed in their video.

“(Pavelko) agreed to pay a fine of 10,000 Swiss francs for his behavior, and this is the only subject of a plea deal signed with him,” FIFA said.

2) The theses on allegedly conducting financial investigations against Andrei Pavelko at UEFA today are false.

Given that in its preliminary investigation Arno Beda unfoundedly accused the UAF of financial fraud, in 2019 UEFA addressed the UAF with a series of questions.

Having received all the requested information and verifying its accuracy, UEFA found no reason to open a case, which was also reported by the UAF and FIFA.

Therefore, the following statements of problems for the UAF and Andrei Pavelko are again refuted, in particular by the position of FIFA and UEFA.

Recall that today in a Swiss court the case against Bad is still under consideration in the UAF lawsuit through the continuous dissemination of false and defamatory materials.
